1. Where can I find my HotSync ID? The MIDI Ring Tone Loader will automatically identify existing HotSync IDs on your PC. They will be listed on the PullDown list labeled 'User'.[top] 2. My Enabler code is not working. What can I do? Some registrations require your HotSync ID. This value is case sensitive and can fail if you have provided the wrong value during registration. Contact us and send your HotSync ID, Name, MIDI Ring Tone Loader Version, and Date of Purchase. After we confirm your order, we will generate and e-mail your Enabler key.[top] 3. What is an *.msi file? The *.msi file extension represents a Microsoft Installer file. This installation file type has been successfully tested on Windows 98, XP, and 2000 Operating Systems. Contact us if your system cannot accept *.msi installation files and we will send you a link to a *.exe installation file.[top] 4. How do I remove ringtones through the MIDI Ring Tone Loader? MIDI Ring Tone Loader does not include delete functionality for ringtones. You must use your Treo Smartphone from the Sounds program to remove ringtones.[top] 5. Why does my MIDI ringtone have low volume? The MIDI microprocessor and speaker system for your PC is not the same for the Treo Smartphone. Some instruments will not be as audible while other instruments may sound clearer. If you have a MIDI editor, you can increase the volume for each track to 127 and/or increase the velocity for each instrument to 127. Also, you may want to replace the instrument assigned to a similar-sounding instrument that could sound louder from the Treo Smartphone.[top] 6. How do I extract MIDI songs from my Treo Ringtones? Once you have hotsynced your Treo Smartphone to your PC, launch the MIDI Ring Tone Loader. Select the MIDI song you wish to extract and press the Play button. The extracted file will be named MIDIRingToneLoader.mid and will reside in the same filepath where the application was installed.[top] 7. How do I assign MIDI ringtones to specific individuals from my phonebook?
